Nutrient-Dense Burger Bowls
Picture your favorite burger, but crafted to nourish your body—packed with essential nutrients, without sacrificing flavor.
Introducing. the nutrient-dense burger bowl.
This burger bowl is one of my all-time favorites—not just because it’s incredibly delicious, but also because it’s so easy to make and it’s packed with nutrients. Loaded with protein, fiber, healthy fats, and essential vitamins and minerals, it delivers all the classic burger flavor you love, without compromising on health.
Ingredient Quality
Grass-Fed Beef: When it comes to animal protein, quality matters. Grass-fed beef comes from cattle that have been raised on pasture and fed their natural diet—grass—rather than grain or soy. It’s typically higher in omega-3 fatty acids, CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), and antioxidants like vitamin E. Plus, it’s free from added hormones and antibiotics, making it a more nutrient-dense and ethically sourced choice for your body and the planet.
Japanese Sweet Potato: Japanese sweet potatoes are a delicious, slightly sweet and starchy base that’s packed with fiber, vitamin A, and complex carbohydrates to keep you feeling satisfied and energized. Their rich flavor and creamy texture make them a perfect complement to savory burger bowls.
Raw or Organic Cheddar Cheese: Not all cheese is created equal. Finding a raw or organic cheddar cheese ensures that you’re avoiding added hormones, pesticides, and unnecessary processing. Raw cheese also retains more of its natural enzymes and nutrients, which can support digestion and offer a more bioavailable source of calcium and healthy fats. Organic Valley is my favorite brand and can now be found at most stores.
Burger Sauce: A good burger (bowl) is not complete without a zesty sauce to bring all of the flavors together. Lots of sauces are filled with rancid oils like canola or vegetable oil, refined sugar, and toxic additives. However, Primal Kitchen has a line of Dipping Sauces that have great ingredients and taste just like the real deal. Yes, you could find a recipe and make this yourself, but with these bowls- I like to go the easy route. Check out the one I love HERE!
